This unit includes five days of observation in a school or early childhood centre. Students MUST provide evidence of compliance for all placement requirements prior to attending professional placement. Students must comply with the vaccination requirements of placement providers. Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
identify and critically engage with concepts, principles and theories of disciplinarity, interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity
define and understand a chosen discipline in relation to other disciplines
identify and understand applications of interdisciplinary approaches to problems or challenges
develop and apply an interdisciplinary framework to a specific problem or challenge
