Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

2 source and assess the appropriateness of resources (including ICT) that link to informed and effective teaching and learning in the Dance or Drama Stage 6 syllabuses
3 develop engaging units of work and lesson plans related to selected theoretical and practical content and learning outcomes from a Dance or Drama Stage 6 syllabuses, demonstrating familiarity with the required syllabus outcomes, objectives, key competencies, knowledge, skills and understandings
4 apply current pedagogical theory including the NSW DEC Quality Teaching Framework to the development of effective teaching and learning strategies that encourage students with a diversity of learning needs, styles and cultural backgrounds to engage effectively with Dance or Drama in Stage 6
5 demonstrate well-developed written and oral communication skills, as appropriate to the needs and expectations of the profession
6 identify and critically examine assessment and reporting procedures and strategies in the context of the Preliminary and HSC standards-referenced assessment framework
7 Prepare assessment tasks and marking criteria for Stage 6 outcomes with emphasis on the integration of the various elements and aspects, as outlined in the course prescriptions

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
