Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

3 demonstrate new learning across a range of ICTs and discuss the integration of these ICTs for learning and teaching
4 evaluate a range of ICTs (including synchronous and asynchronous ICT) and their appropriateness for use in educational contexts, in terms of underlying pedagogical assumptions, gender and ethnic perspectives, educational relevance, social impact and suitability for the 21st century learning environment
5 identify specific pedagogical methods and classroom management techniques required to manage ICTs in 21st century learning environment through developing the capacity for ongoing professional development as a 21st century teacher and learner
6 critically evaluate a range of factors influencing the adoption of ICTs in educational contexts such as current educational policies and practices including assessment practices and curriculum requirement
7 recognise the social and ethical issues surrounding the use of ICTs in the school and at home including the importance of critically approaching and verifying information, plagiarism, aspects of copyright, privacy, censorship, Internet safety and occupational health and safety.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
