Unit description

Provides and introduction to the roles and responsibilities of volunteers in the provision of community services. Major topics include the relationship between social capital and volunteering, legislation and volunteering, volunteer rights, aged services and volunteers. Students learn how to select, coordinate and support volunteers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Volunteer management IV: Training and retention
Volunteer management V: Rights of volunteers, support for volunteers and grievance resolution Issues in the future of volunteering.
