Unit description

Describes the current structure and function of health and welfare services for older people, and explore the salient issues for older people. It will examine the impact of population ageing on service demand and delivery and the service options available to older Australians living in the community. The principles that inform the development of international, national and local strategies for population ageing will be examined. Students will analyse the needs and interests of a diverse ageing population.
