Unit description

Provides an introduction to academic research in the Information Technology discipline area through supervised project work. Honours students select their project topic in consultation with particular staff with expertise in an Information Technology area appropriate to the proposed research. To satisfy the requirements of the Honours course, students must successfully complete a research thesis.

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. 3 integrate feedback from academic peers into a research study in progress
4 establish the quality and appropriateness of analysis and linkage of findings to the research problem, along with practical and theoretical implications
5 demonstrate a contribution to the body of knowledge by producing a thesis appropriate to a discipline area.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
