This foundational unit prepares students to develop case conceptualisation and treatment planning skills  for the supervised placement component of the counselling course.

understand the difference between short term treatment planning and long-term treatment planning

present a clear and coherent theoretical understanding of the client’s situation

discuss formulation of a treatment plan to facilitate change

present a case conceptualisation using an integrative approach
