Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
recognise the significance of ethics within counselling practice, underpinned by an understanding of moral theory and ethical principles and responsibilities
examine key concepts of ethical and legal issues in counselling
utilise a decision-making framework for resolving ethical dilemmas arising in counselling
demonstrate an understanding of the legal requirements and ethical obligations as a professional counsellor
