Unit description

Provides knowledge of distributed ledger and blockchain technology and how they can be used in real-world scenarios such as payment systems or supply-chain management. Students will learn the blockchain mechanisms such as consensus, privacy-preserving protocols and smart contracts, as well as models and frameworks to develop a secure blockchain application in smart environments.

Module 1:  Basic concepts of distributed ledger and blockchain technology.

Module 2:  Blockchain models and protocols.

Module 3:  Blockchain development frameworks.

Module 4:  Blockchain cryptocurrency applications.

Module 5:  Blockchain security

Module 6:  Blockchain technology in various applications.
