Unit description

The unit provides students with a theoretical knowledge of network and infrastructure security and practical skills to secure computer networks and critical infrastructure. Students will learn to analyse network and infrastructure vulnerabilities and threats and develop appropriate protection measures to secure an enterprise network and infrastructure.

Module 3:  Cloud Infrastructure Security

Module 4:  Microservices Security

Module 5:  Network Threat Detection and Intrusion Prevention

identify threats to network security and apply corresponding defense mechanisms to network-based computer systems

apply best practices for securing cloud environments

analyse and mitigate vulnerabilities in distributed systems

configure network security, including monitoring and incident response strategies.
