Unit description

This double-weighted placement-based unit provides final-year Bachelor of IT students with practical industry experience. Students apply technical skills, engage in teamwork, and address ethical challenges in real-world complex computing projects. The unit emphasises problem-solving, professional communication, ethics, and reflective practice, preparing students for their roles as ICT professionals. Students will spend approximately 300 hours across two terms in this unit, including placement, class sessions, and assessments.

Module 2:  Project Readiness and Problem-Solving Strategies

Module 3:  Industry Logbook Preparation

Module 4:  Teamwork, Conflict Handling, and Collaboration

Module 5:  User-defined and Industry Engagement

Module 6:  Reflective Practice, Lifelong Learning, and Network Building

Learning outcomes
