Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

describe the fundamental principles and components of computer networks and data communication that support the development, functionality, and management of modern business networks

analyse the TCP/IP protocols to understand how they facilitate reliable data transmission across various digital communication platforms

apply basic network design and configuration skills

discuss the role of modern computer networks and the internet security in everyday life and businesses.
