Unit description

Develops students' knowledge of the theory and practice of animation and motion graphics. Students apply digital media skills by integrating text, images, audio and the moving image, to the planning and development of an animated production.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply pre-production planning and project management processes to production of an animation project

demonstrate an understanding of the principles of frame animation and character design

apply animation principles in the production of an audio-visual animation using industry standard software and hardware.
