Unit description

Provides students with the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge within the context of a range of operational Clinical Exercise Physiology facilities. Students attend and participate in internal (SCU student-led Health Clinic) and external placements to complete the balance of the hours required for ESSA accreditation and Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology course completion.

Unit content

Topic 1:Complete internal placement hours within the Southern Cross University Health Clinic under the supervision of an accredited Exercise Physiologist. 
Topic 2: Complete external placement hours under the supervision of an accredited Exercise Physiologist or appropriate allied health professional. 
Topic 3: Evidence-based practice. 
Topic 4: Information literacy. 
Topic 5: Reflective practice. 
Topic 6: Provision of exercise therapy, assessment, exercise prescription and evaluation.
