Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 demonstrate the ability to develop a theoretically well-grounded visual arts research project OR contemporary music research project
2 produce an exhibition of work with an accompanying written component which documents and explores the context of the work, OR a written thesis which demonstrates a level of appropriate research and written skills
3 analyse and evaluate literature and creative arts artefacts in which the research is based
4 analyse and evaluate relevant literature and creative arts artefacts for the production and understanding of student's own research and creative project
5 demonstrate the ability to work ethically, independently and with self-direction.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
