Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
Analyse the different paradigms of social enquiry according to the different ontological and epistemological assumptions they make
Formulate the steps to be followed in conducting qualitative research
Critique published research in terms of its ability to collect, analyse and interpret data consistent with a particular theoretical perspective or paradigm
Engage in the ethical dimensions of business and management research
Apply qualitative research methods.
