Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

demonstrate an understanding of the complex undertaking of knowledge management, which involves people, culture and technology, and multiple disciplines as well

contrast various processes, models and tools to implement knowledge management in organisations

explain the links between knowledge management and corporate and business strategies for organisational effectiveness

critically analyse and review the experiences of organisations embracing knowledge management strategies

write a workplace-related report, proposing a knowledge management initiative, linking the application of knowledge management concepts and strategies to the workplace setting.
