    Students will be expected to have completed and passed introductory units in business and/or tourism including accounting, marketing and management from the Faculty of Business Law and Arts or similar units from other discipline areas or institutions.

Unit description

Introduces students to the concepts of entrepreneurship, the new venture creation process, and the entrepreneurial environment. To provide students with an understanding of the entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial behaviour, several entrepreneurship theories and their applications will also be examined and discussed.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

apply concepts on innovation and creativity

discuss contemporary entrepreneurship issues

compile a new venture business plan.
