Unit description

Explores the business models of corporate airline management, covering airline organisational practice, operational management, and objective setting. Students will develop their knowledge of airline business planning, schedule planning, fleet planning, financial management, global partnerships and key outsourcing relationships.

Learning outcomes

describe the characteristics of commercial and operational activities undertaken by airlines

determine the key functional areas that underpin routine and irregular airline operations

determine the key functional areas that underpin airline operations and activities

prepare well-structured written reports and deliver persuasive oral presentations on airline planning, management, and development strategies.
