Unit description

Provides an introduction to academic research in a specified discipline area through supervised project work. Honours students select their project topic in consultation with particular staff with expertise in an area appropriate to the proposed research. To satisfy the requirements of the Honours course, students must successfully complete a research thesis.

Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

3 present research proposals and findings at academic forums, and incorporate feedback received int the study
4 establish the quality and appropriateness of analysis and linkage of findings to the research problem, along with practical and theoretical implications
5 demonstrate a contribution to the body of knowledge by producing a thesis appropriate to a discipline area.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
