Unit description

Combining academic knowledge with practical experience in the field of medical laboratory science, Integrated pathology serves as a bridge between classroom learning and real-world application, offering students the opportunity to appreciate the significant role that medical laboratory science plays in patient diagnosis and healthcare. Through active participation, students acquire a comprehensive skill set essential for a successful career in the field of medical laboratory science.

Learning outcomes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

develop a sophisticated capacity for critical self-reflection, enabling analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of your performance and experiences in the workplace

demonstrate competence in medical laboratory science in alignment with the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS) standards
