Unit description

Expands student knowledge of immunology and molecular genetics while providing an in-depth study of viruses and parasites.  Students will develop investigative and analytical skills and be able to solve clinical cases related to viral and parasitic infections. Students will also explore the latest techniques for the isolation, purification and characterization of viruses as well as applications in genetic engineering and gene therapy.
