Learning outcomes and graduate attributes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
Learning outcome count | Learning outcome description | GA1 | GA2 | GA3 | GA4 | GA5 | GA6 | GA7 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Plan underwater surveys across a range of habitats and conditions focusing on safety, OH&S, best-practise diving techniques, and environmental considerations | |||||||
2 | Choose the most appropriate survey designs and methods to maximise outcomes of diving surveys. | |||||||
3 | Safely and rigorously collect a range of data types from underwater environments. | |||||||
4 | Provide sound interpretation of underwater surveys taking relevant factors into consideration (e.g. observer error, limitations and biases of methods) |
