Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 utilise various methods in monitoring physiological responses to exercise and training;
2 apply the principles and objectives of exercise prescription;
3 assess specific exercises and determine their appropriateness for specific populations and applications; and
4 select, modify and prescribe safe exercise programs and testing procedures for specific population groups such as: Men and Women, Children, Elderly, and conditions including Diabetes, Obesity, Cardiovascular disorders, Asthma, Pregnancy, Cancer and Arthritis.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
