Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
identify issues that relate to a Fine Art professional practice in the art industry, both from a local and global perspective.
develop a language and models with which to approach your emerging arts practice professionally and as an arts business.
understand exhibition practices and implementation
place their practice within an understanding of the Australian and international art and cultural economy
understand the forms of professional practice in fine arts and arts related industry, including development of a professional CV, the ability to write and budget for grant applications and deal with galleries and professional organisations.
