Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
demonstrate an open, independent and inquiring attitude towards contemporary cultural developments and new ideas
design and produce artworks using basic printmaking techniques as a special means of creative and critical expression, with particular reference to etching and relief printing
demonstrate understanding of the context of printmaking in the national and global field of contemporary art culture
articulate the theoretical, conceptual and historical rationale of their work
demonstrate an understanding of the differing methodologies to printing mediums, support, representations
apply the rules of occupational health and safety appropriate to the discipline practice
