There will be a non-compulsory, 4-day industry tour for all students. The tour will leave from the Lismore campus. All students participating in the tour will need to pay a contribution ($300 in 2022) towards accommodation by the end of week 1. Places on the Industry Tour may be limited.
Learning outcomes
Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.
On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
explain the underpinning principles of regenerative agriculture
describe a range of alternative farming systems, including horticulture, integrated livestock, cropping, organics and permaculture
critically review and evaluate factors that can constrain or enable farming systems
develop an agronomic team project to examine a regenerative approach to farming
