Learning outcomes and graduate attributes

Unit Learning Outcomes express learning achievement in terms of what a student should know, understand and be able to do on completion of a unit. These outcomes are aligned with the graduate attributes. The unit learning outcomes and graduate attributes are also the basis of evaluating prior learning.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:

1 demonstrate the ability to produce individual artworks which draw on well-grounded studio practice and sensitive use of materials

4 develop a deeper appreciation of current issues in fine art and recognise the cultural context in which art work is produced
5 develop an increased capacity for the constructive critique of their own work, and peers, and are able to articulate this through oral presentations and written documentation in group and individual situations
6 demonstrate increased understanding and practice of occupational health and safety in the studio, and are able to collaborate and co-operate safely and productively within the studio environment, reflecting on personal studio space outside of university.

On completion of this unit, students should be able to:
