Overview
The Undergraduate Qualifying Program (UQP) prepares International students for undergraduate study in a range of business and tourism degrees offered by Southern Cross University. It assists students to develop the skills necessary for success at the undergraduate level.
The course combines English language and academic skills development with academic, content-based studies. It is designed for international students whose academic qualifications and/or English proficiency levels are slightly below Southern Cross University's entry requirements for undergraduate degrees.
English Language Proficiency (General English + English for Academic Purposes) and two units from undergraduate degrees offered by the School of Business and Tourism. Topics could include accounting, finance, economics, business law, statistics, marketing, management, ethics and sustainability.

Tuition fees are in Australian dollars, and are subject to change, including annual increases over the duration of a course. Annual tuition fee is based on completing 8 units per year. In addition, students are required to pay OSHC for the duration of their visa in advance. Non-tuition fee covers textbooks, stationery and excursions. |

Entry requirements
An education qualification recognised as equivalent to an Australian year 11; and, be a minimum of 18 years old at the start of the program.
Applicants for admission to candidature to the Undergraduate Qualifying Program must have an assessable entry qualification from a country where English is the main language and where the medium of instruction for that qualification was English, or have completed an International English Language Test (or comparable test scores*) with:
- a minimum overall score of 5.5 and a minimum score of 5.0 in each subtest (or comparable test scores*) for 15 weeks English Language Program concurrent with academic units
* comparable scores include SCU College Placement Test scores, CPE, CAE, and TOEFL PBT (see scu.edu.au/englishskills)
