As part of this course, you may choose to undertake a 300-hour internship (equivalent to two units) in either a paid or volunteer role. This practical experience, combined with theoretical understanding, enhances your learning experience and your professional and personal understanding of this dynamic industry.

 

There are no majors in this course but core units cover a diverse range of management, business and hospitality operations subjects and an Industry Research Project.

Entry requirements

A Bachelor degree from any Australian university, or equivalent, in a related discipline OR demonstrated relevant prior learning and/or relevant industry experience deemed equivalent OR a Graduate Certificate in a related discipline OR successful completion of Southern Cross University's Postgraduate Qualifying Program.

Credit for prior learning

Advanced standing is not awarded for undergraduate study but may be awarded for postgraduate study or equivalent work experience.

Course requirements

To be eligible to receive the Master of International Tourism and Hotel Management, Master of Business Administration, students must complete 192 credit points, comprising:

  • 12 core units, and
  • 36 credit points in electives.
