This short course is a pathway to further study at Southern Cross University in the Allied Health professions.

It aims to prepare students for Diploma and subsequent Bachelor level studies, combining developmental College units with introductory units from the relevant programs. 

Graduates of the Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health will be eligible for entry with up to four units of credit towards the Diploma of Health (Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Osteopathic Studies, Nursing, Sport and Exercise Science or Biomedical specialisation). Upon successful completion of the additional units in the Diploma, students will be eligible for entry and up to one year of advanced standing towards a number of linked Bachelor degrees in Allied Health.

To be eligible to receive the Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health, students must complete 4 units (48 credit points), comprising:

  • 3 core units (36 credit points) and
  • 1 option unit (12 credit points)
Exit Pathway
Students admitted to the Bachelor of Speech Pathology; Bachelor of Occupational Therapy; Bachelor of Clinical Sciences (Osteopathic Studies); Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Science; Bachelor of Exercise Science and Psychological Science; Bachelor of Biomedical Science; and Bachelor of Midwifery may exit with the Undergraduate Certificate in Allied Health after completing 4 approved core units (48 credit points) from their admitted course.
