There is a growing demand across law and a range of professions for graduates with a deeper understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks in which they operate, in particular enhanced knowledge in business law.
The Graduate Certificate in Business Law gives students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in specific areas that include tax, competition, consumer, intellectual property, global business and corporate governance law. Note: Students without an equivalent Bachelor of Laws degree complete a core unit in Legal Institutions and Processes and three electives.

To be eligible for the award of Graduate Certificate in Business Law, a candidate will have successfully completed four (4) units (48 credit points) comprising:
- if the candidate possesses a Bachelor degree in law (LLB, JD, or equivalent), any four (4) units (48 credit points) listed in the Schedule of Units attached to this award, or
-
if the candidate does not posses a Bachelor degree in law (LLB, JD, or equivalent),
- the unit Legal Institutions and Processes (12 credit points), and
- any other three (3) units (36 credit points) listed in in the Schedule of Units attached to the award.
